The Laughing Fox

Live in a world of suspended amazement...

Randomness

I know these pictures are late... but late is better than never... right? Either way. Following this post are pictures of my purple hand, which was tie-dyed on Monday. The ink is just now gone... the picture isn't great in showing just how it looked... but its close enough. It looked like I had grangrene or something, followed by frostbite. The other pictures are of my opal/sapphire ring I got for my birthday. It took a while to get good pictures of the stone, and it still doesn't do the beauty justice, but it's the best I can do. Enjoy, all.

My Little Girl (by Tim McGraw)

Verse 1:
Gotta hold on easy as I let you go.
Gonna tell you how much I love you, though you think you already know.
I remember I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm.
You've had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born.

Chorus:
Beautiful baby from the outside in.
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again.
Go on, take on this whole world.
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl.

Verse 2:
When you were in trouble that crooked little smile could melt my heart of stone.
Now look at you, I've turned around and you've almost grown.
Sometimes you're asleep I whisper "I Love You!" in the moonlight at your door.
As I walk away, I hear you say, "Daddy Love You More!".

(Repeat Chorus)

Verse 3:
Someday, some boy will come and ask me for your hand.
But I won't say "yes" to him unless I know, he's the half
that makes you whole, he has a poet's soul, and the heart of a man's man.
I know he'll say that he's in love.
But between you and me. He won't be good enough!

(Repeat Chorus)

Arrrr! It be Talk Like A Pirate Day!

Yes, I am a pirate, two hundred years too late.
The cannons don't thunder there's nothin' to plunder
I'm an over forty victim of fate
Arriving too late, arriving too late.

Happy Talk Like A Pirate Day. :)

Better update than yesterday...

So now that I'm not slightly whacked out...

Yesterday I turned 21. Whoop-ti-do. Other things were much more important.

Such as hanging out with friends who are too cool for words, hanging out with my parents, getting some really awesome things, relaxing... You know, it's rather ... what's the word... nostalgic? no.... just that letdown after having a great weekend, when you think back on it and remember how great it was and then you're like great, now I'm stuck back in the middle of school with exams coming up. Blah.

But anyways:

It was really cool. One of my friends got me 21 gifts of 21 things, which included 21 gummy worms, 21 dollars, 21 pencils, 21 paperclips, 21 tic tacs, 21 hawaiian shirt post it notes, and so forth.

My parents went all out - they spent all day apologizing that they couldn't think of anything great. They got me some really awesome stuff:

- a beautiful opal ring, that's really fiery, with a small sapphire on each side of it. My two favorite stones together... she actually had the jeweler get rid of the diamonds to put in sapphires. -purrs with contentment- I love my new ring. It's absolutely gorgeous. So simple, so beautiful, so perfect. I wish my parents would believe me when I tell them how much I love it.

- I got a really cool swiss military watch, but mom was really bummed when she realized it wasn't the one with military time on it... so I'm going to wait till next weekend to open it, and see if they found the military time one.

- Got two 'willow tree' figurines, one of which is called "hero" and one that's called "celebrate", too too adorable. They're figurines I've wanted for a while.

Hero:

Celebrate:

- a mug with the mug shot of a squirrel

- Star Wars DVDs... the UNEDITED, UNMESSED WITH, ORIGINAL VERSIONS!

- Season Three of Remington Steele

- a 'Boing!' puffer fish... thing... by Moshi... I'll try to remember to get a pic at some point.

- a really really great weekend :)

And yesterday, yes, I did drink. There, everyone happy? .... it was really good. :)

Okay, back to schoolwork. Tata.

Huzzah!

21 today! Yay! Go birthdays!!!!

Now, to get rid of the buzz I got from dinner... ugh, how evil light and sound are right now... and kinda weird to walk too... hmm...

So now I'm just hanging out, trying to get it to go away. :)

Here we go again.... trying this once more.

Anyways, here's the newest online journal. Sorry I've moved yet again. Xanga and I are having a spat, sooo... here you go. Enjoy.

Occasionally, you get quite depressed and have dark feelings.

You have great vision and can be very insightful.
In fact, you are often profound in a way that surprises yourself.
Visionary souls like you can be the best type of friend.
You are intuitive, understanding, sympathetic, and a good healer.

Souls you are most compatible with: Old Soul and Peacemaker Soul

Hey everyone

Sorry I had to move everything over here, just... xanga decided to suddenly start hating me. I don't know why, but it did. So here's yet another online journal (I counted it as the fifth... after a year they all seem to literally die on me!). More shall come later after I've finished making it mine.
