Long Time No Post

Yeah. It's been a while. I'm sorry. In case you haven't been able to tell, my internet is close to non-existent. I'm posting NOW because I'm at home, and have the signal strength to actually post. Amazing ain't it?

Things have been busy. I'm currently really sick. My throat is sore and raw and scratchy, I can hardly breathe, and I'm miserable. Bleh. I am sad some of you haven't talked to me much lately. :( Even though I haven't been on, I knooooooow you're able to send me messages while I'm offline on MSN.

I'm still in shock that there was another massive college shooting. I want to still be in college next year.... why, again?

Beth and Nick visited last Monday. With Rumples. It was amazing! I was so happy to see them again. (Yes, Beth, I missed you. And it was so awesome to have you all and the kitty visit me.)

My thoughts are kinda scattered, I'm sorry. I'd blame it on the medicines I'm on, but that doesn't really matter I don't think. I'd probably post like this anyways.

I want to roleplay. Somewhere, somehow, sometime. PLEEEEEEEEEASE can someone work with me on this!?

This is a busy semester. Tuesday I have my first exam, I have to rewrite a paper already, and so forth. Bleh. Sucks.

Grad results should be coming in soon. We'll see what happens with that.

I want to take a trip to Metamora. I want to go visit the Smokies. I want to go to Chicago and DC. Ahhh so much to do!

I hate being sick.

I miss certain people. A lot.

I've made several new friends.

My gerbils are the loves of my life right now. They make me so happy. They're so cute and cuddly and fuzzy and rodent-y. I absolutely dote on them.

And now, for pictures that I can FINALLY post online because of the internet being nice (btw, out taking pictures in the rain and ice and snow is a good way to meet guys I've found. Next time, I need to take a notepad and write down their numbers...):

So, I made the comment resembling the fact that it's depressing that I'll have to work the rest of my life. This was after I was asked if I was ready to return to school, and I said no, cuz it would involve work. Then I said something along the lines of 'meh, I'll just marry a millionaire and be lazy.' The response: "You can't even get a date, let alone get married." Thank you, mom, for that comment. That was so uplifting and reassuring. I mean seriously, like I didn't know that. Ever thought that I despise all the jerks that do ask me to do something in said context? I happen to have high standards. And who said I couldn't get a date? Maybe I haven't wanted any. Besides, all the people I'm interested in have been taken thus far. So I found that to be a very unfair comment on her part, and I'm pissed. Really, really pissed. I figure it was an offhand remark on her account, but that cut deep and really pissed me off. Which is why I'm griping on here. Because I am so pissed.

NO CLASS

We ran by Miami the other day to drop stuff off and get books, and I started talking to Cayton. Until then, I'd been considering dropping his class (I signed up for 18 hours, I'm taking 13) and taking another. Then, the kicker: "Well Allison, see you next Tuesday. If you're not asleep in class again." *grumble grumble grumble* I really need to take his class. Because he's a very very powerful man. And he knows I'm supposed to take his class. And, well, I guess I will be.

I've also been rather sick and feeling like crap the last several days. I think I'm sick.

And right now I have a headache. Probably because I'm so mad. So cheerio, and adieu.

Quick Overview

Sorry I've been away from posting. Leigh is MIA. Steph is back from Denmark and is once again in Norway. Mike is busy with nature club stuff. And Jordan is back doing artsy stuff, working at Harris, and has no life.

My life:

  • I have a new roommate. His name is George. He's dark and handsome, and has beautiful eyes. He doesn't even keep me up at night. Except last night. He was noisy then. For more information on the cute, adorable George, email / IM / call me. Jordan's the only one who has met him so far. Mike's seen pictures, though.
  • Played DDR for the first time last night. From about 10pm-2:30am. I couldn't walk by time we came back to Flower. Besides the fact I was exhausted, I managed to not be able to connect what my eyes were seeing to my mind, to my feet, and make them do what the screen told me to do. I was what they started calling DDR-dyslexic. I got forward and back confused, as well as left and right. Was sooo much fun though. There ended up being about 7 different people in a single dorm room (RA room in Hepburn). So much fun.
  • Two weeks of classes are now over. Where'd the time go?
  • The ROTC people are making fun of me. But I think they like that I'm still there.
  • I'm so exhausted.
  • Sunday I'm going to Harveysburg, OH to go to the Renaissance Festival with Ben H. I won't mind if in the next month or so other people want to go to renfest too. :)
  • I think I'll wear a dress when we go. I think it might be too hot to pretend to be a knight, or a pirate.

I'm gonna go to bed, and tomorrow

A very brief update

Finally over the flu. Somewhat. Still tired all the time, and achy. Was in the ER, am now out of the ER. Obviously. Unable to go to any classes two weeks ago due to the stupid flu. Spent my entire spring break trying to get over the flu. Still not really over, but at least no longer infected. Just trying to recooperate from throwing up several times a day, coughing about four times every three minutes (yes, someone made a point to count), having a fever and being unable to sit up. Slept most of break. Now trying to frantically finish a paper due tomorrow (rough draft, thankfully), figure out graduation (Graduate early? Study abroad second semester? What to do with only needing 11 hours to graduate after summer?), figure out scheduling, figure out what session of the GRE classes I want to take, figure out HOW TO SUCCEED on the stupid GRE, vacation to CA, finish my capstone, get started and finish my four other papers, and so forth. Vaugely busy. And still, yes, sick and anemic. Cuz after being sick for two weeks and being unable to really eat during that time (and keep it in if i did eat), needless to say my I couldn't take iron and ZOOF there went what little control I had over my anemia, which is back in the bowels of despair. And I'm absolutely exhausted, anemic, and sick. Go me!

Okay that's my update.

PS. Leigh you suck, making me get an LJ. :-P I'll get to it later.

PPS. MSN hates me. Currently isn't working. Catch me on AIM - even if I have an away message up.

Sicker than a dog

So, haven't been feeling tops last few days. But it really hit me last night. Apparently I have what's going around campus - a weird strain of the flu. Joy. Just what I need during midterms.
